The word of God given to us as the compiled work we call the Bible is living and powerful. How powerful? It has the power to divide soul and spirit and divide joints from marrow like the sharpest sword ever made. The joints and marrow are of the physical dimension but to have the power to seperate things in the unseen realm can only be the work of God.
The word also has the power to discern the innermost thoughts and intentions of men. Wow! There is absolutely nowhere to hide and no way to deceive. That’s power. Only God has the ability to see exactly what’s in a man’s heart and bypass all of the acting and emotion that covers an evil intent.
How powerful and wise a person would be if he hid the word of God in his heart. Not only to live a holy life but to be right with God. When God looks upon such a man and sees the thoughts and intent of his heart he sees his own thoughts ad intent. Well, as much as the man’s heart can hold and as much as God wills for him to understand.
